The Museum of Nature South Tyrol has two main permanent exhibitions. One explores the geological history of the area over millions of years, the other looks at the impact of the Ice Age on animals, man and plants in the south Tyrol.

A fascinating collection of archaeological discoveries in the South Tyrol, some of the artifacts in this museum date back to 15,000 BC. The prime exhibit is Otzi the Iceman, a 5,300 year old frozen Mummy discovered by hikers in 1991.
